The invention of this non stick pan was actually due to two accidents. That was one day in 1938, when American chemist Procter received a call from DuPont. They wanted to invest a sum of money to commission him to develop a new type of refrigerant with better cooling effect, and Planktor accepted the invitation.
After several weeks of research, he finally decided to develop a new refrigerant using fluorocarbon gas. During the experimental process of developing a new refrigerant, Planktor unexpectedly discovered a white waxy substance. This new substance is not afraid of heat, water, or acid, and has a relatively high melting point. It is a unique lubricant. Because the fluorine element in this substance is very abundant. So Planck named him Teflon. However, at that time, Teflon was only used to manufacture military equipment and had not yet been applied to kitchenware.
Until 1954, French engineer Gregoire bought some Teflon to prevent the newly purchased fishing line from being robbed. And soak the fishing line inside, so that the fishing line becomes very smooth and won't knot. Later, on a weekend, guests came to Grigore's house, and his wife Klet wanted to cook a delicious table to entertain them. However, Klet was the only one in the family and she was busy in the kitchen. Well, I accidentally fried this fish, which made Klet very frustrated. Because fried fish is his favorite dish, when Gregor returned home in the evening, he found his wife feeling down and asked for the reason. After learning about the situation, Gregor thought it would be great if there was a pot that wouldn't burn. At this moment, he suddenly thought of the non stick material he had applied to the fishing line before. Teflon, this material, is not afraid of heat and has a very high melting point. Moreover, it does not adhere to substances. What would be the effect if it were applied to a frying pan? Well, then he started conducting experiments. In the end, Teflon and aluminum pots were perfectly combined together. That's it. With two unexpected events, the world's first non stick pan was born.
